I’m so flipping excited right now. My publisher and I just re-released my book “Break the Bank” and in celebration of it, I’m offering it free over on Amazon for a limited time only!
Woo hoo hoo!
So why should you read it?
Well because it’ll help you get free from some of those shit money beliefs you might have like
“Money is evil”
“Rich people are born lucky”
Maybe you cringe when you have to deal with money or pay bills.
Yeah…I so know the feeling which is why I wrote this book. I used to cringe when I had to look at my bank account. Paying bills used to feel like torture. Pretty much anything to do with money used to make my butt twitch in the worst way…
But then I learned a few things and decided they were so valuable, I put them in a book.
You can break free from your limiting money beliefs!
You can love money no matter how much money you have right now.
Anyway…..I’m not going to super pitch it here cause over on Amazon there’s a pretty lengthy description. (Feel free to check it out, there’s even a free sample to read if you’re unsure!)
BUT I did want to make this little announcement here today.
Break the Bank is free on Amazon!
All you gotta do is head on over to Amazon and hit the buy button and it’s all yours.
Yesterday was Memorial Day here in the United States. It’s a day when we look back over our past and remember all of the brave service men and women who died serving in the US military to protect the freedoms we all enjoy. I can’t tell you how thankful I am for these people because without them, things would be vastly different.
Anyway, Memorial Day always makes me think about the past, both my past and the past of all the people who have somehow made it into my life for a time or two. I’ve sometimes felt trapped by my past, but along the way, I learned how to be free from it.
How to Break Free From Your Past
If you believe The Law of Attraction is real and is always working whether you realize it or not, you can conceivably say that you have attracted every single person who has come into your life, both the good and the bad. Maybe some of these people have stayed around for years. Maybe some of them have only been around for just a little while.
The point is you attracted them because you needed them and they you and the Universe brought you together. There are no coincidences.
When I used to look back, I’d wonder why certain types of people kept showing up. Some were the most demeaning and toxic friendships or relationships I have ever been in. Back then, I’d do my damnedest to try to understand why and I never could figure it out. That was until I learned about the Law of Attraction.
With my new knowledge, I realize that it was me and my core beliefs at the time about who I am and what I deserved in a friendship or relationship which attracted them.
See, back in the day I had very low self esteem and self worth. I felt I didn’t deserve to have nice friends or a good boyfriend because I didn’t value myself much. As a result, I ended up in some very bad relationships with people who did not treat me well. Sadly, when these types of toxic people would show up, I would do everything I could to keep the friendship or relationship going because I didn’t believe I deserved better.
Seriously, it was messed up!
Deep down in my heart though, I knew I deserved better friends and relationships and thankfully I was able to escape most of these entanglements without much damage to my self worth and self esteem.
So how does this relate to the Law of Attraction?
How You Feel About Yourself Will Attract People Into Your Life Who Will Confirm Those Beliefs
If you believe you deserve to be surrounded by people who love you and what the best for you at the highest level, then you will be. If you believe you are worthy of a healthy relationship, the Universe will bring you just that; Someone you can have a healthy relationship with.
If you believe you aren’t worthy and you feel bad about yourself, the Universe will bring you people who just confirm that belief for you. Sounds crazy, but it’s true.
You ever meet someone who’s been in relationship after relationship with the same sort of man or woman? They just keep attracting the same sort of person again and again and then they wonder why.
I had a friend once who seemed to attract nothing but drug addicts, alcoholics and abusers. I used to shake my head back then, but now I understand what was going on. My friend had no self worth whatsoever and would lament and whine about how she was ‘never good enough, not pretty enough, not rich enough, etc…’ to attract a decent man. Her belief in what she was attracted people, men especially, who would just confirm and strengthen her beliefs about herself.
What can we learn here?
Everyone is Worthy
First thing I want everyone to learn is that they are worthy of healthy relationships. Everyone deserves to have a cadre of friends who love and support them. When I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE. I mean you too!
Secondly, if you’ve made some bad choices in friends or relationships, forgive yourself. You can’t change your past. Today is a new day to change your beliefs about yourself and what you want. Don’t beat yourself up about the past.
Limit Time Spent With Toxic People
I’d love to say end all of your bad relationships now which is sometimes easier said than done. What you can do, however, is limit your time with them. As you strengthen your beliefs in yourself and raise your self esteem and self worth, you’ll find many of your toxic relationships will naturally resolve themselves. The more you practice, the easier it gets.
Believe in Yourself
Always believe in yourself. You are worthy. You deserve good things and people in your life. If you struggle with this, it’s ok. We all have moments of self doubt. It will pass.
Just imagine all of your dreams coming true. Seriously, take a moment right now, close your eyes and let your dream flood your consciousness. Now open your eyes and see how much of your dream is actually part of your reality now. Don’t worry if you struggle with this part cause you can always change it.
Your dream is never out of reach
I found a gem in my email this morning. My publisher has sent me a proof for the upcoming re-release of my previous books. It may seem like an innocuous event, but for me, it’s a dream come true.
Years ago, I wanted to be a writer. I had stories in my head, but because of the job and career I was in, I always felt that it was improper and downright silly for me to want to be a writer. Microbiology was my career and my life. Nothing more, nothing less.
Once upon a time, I had a blog back in 2007 which was successful, but I never considered myself a writer. Not a real writer anyway. My mind and heart were closed off to the possibility of being anything else.
Years later when I discovered The Law of Attraction, I decided I needed to go for my dreams on a big level because I wasn’t happy just being a scientist. Becoming and being a writer was part of that dream so I wrote. I started with one blog and one book. Then I started another blog (this one) and more books. I wrote e-courses too and sold them. When I moved back to Albuquerque, I was asked to write a script for a movie (several actually) and now…I’m a writer.
Now what does my story have to do with your dream?
Had I not allowed myself to dream my dream, I would have stayed exactly where I was, in the lab. My businesses and writing career would not exist today. Nothing in my life would have changed and I’d probably still be working in a laboratory somewhere.
The other thing I had to do was get into action which meant writing everyday. I put myself on a serious schedule and I did just that; I wrote everyday.
All of this all started with my dream.
Now I am celebrating today because I have a publisher and a proof for a book cover. It is a dream come true for me.
I’m still dreaming too. I don’t think I’ll ever stop because I want to share with everyone what I’ve learned along the way. I have another book in the works (announcements will be made closer to the release date).
Now just imagine all your dreams coming true.

In my last post, I talked about why I love Friday. As a follow up to that, I thought this post was appropriate. 3 reasons why I love Monday.
It’s the start of the week and I’m sitting here in my office with sparkles in my eyes. Yeah, corny I know, but absolutely true. Monday is one of my favorite days of the week because the possibilities are endless for the week. I work from home and after the weekend has ended, Monday signals the beginning of my work week and as a result, I end up working more on Monday than I do any other day of the week.
Here’s why I love Monday (and why you should too)
Monday is #1
Not in the sense that it won a race and came in first, but it is the first day of the new week. Think about it as a new beginning cause it is. Businesses reopen. Everyone is rested from the weekend. It’s #1! I love Monday because I always get so much done after slacking around all weekend and having fun.
It’s a great time to start projects
If you’ve spent your weekend partying or resting, Monday is the day to begin a new project. I usually start scripts or chapters of books on Monday because it’s when I’m the most rested and usually raring to go. The first day of the week is my powerhouse day for writing so I take advantage of it whenever I can.
It’s a great day to look forward
Not only is it a great day to start a project, it’s a great day to make plans for your week or month or whatever. The start of the week is when I chart out my week of writing and other work related duties. I sometimes like to figure out what I’m going to do for the weekend too. Planning usually takes up a good chunk of my time on Monday and I look forward to it every week. I make plans to write, work out and do what I need to do to keep my life and business in order.
So that’s why I love Monday.
PS I’m in the process of writing a new book, one that when it’s finished, I’ll be giving away a few copies. Also, I have free gifts here on my site. If you sign up below, you can get free stuff and maybe even win a copy of my book when it comes out. All you gotta do is sign up below. Yes, it’s a mailing list, but I promise not to spam you 🙂 xoxo
Today’s Friday. I love Friday’s, but not for the traditional reason you might expect. The majority of people love Friday is because it’s the last day of the week, signaling 2 days off if you work a regular 9-5 job. Friday for me is a sort of special day, but not for the aforementioned reason.
See, on Friday, I take the day off from my usually scheduled writing and I clean my entire house.
Now I didn’t always clean like I do now. Oh no..in fact, I used to detest cleaning and part of me always will because of the traditional female role as the house keeper (who came up with that silly idea is beyond me, but anyway). Seriously, I only would clean when I absolutely had to like when my mom or dad was coming over.
At some point in my Law of Attraction studies, I read that having a clear decluttered home actually changes the energy and allows a better flow of positive energy. I didn’t believe that for one minute at the time and as a result, my house stayed a mess.
That was until I had to move 2 years ago. I decided at that point to give decluttering a try since I had too much stuff and I was on a budget for the move. 3500 lbs was all I was allowed to pack so day-by-day, I went through everything in my house and got rid of anything that didn’t serve me or I didn’t love. I wrote about it here in The Great Decluttering of 2015.
Once I moved back to New Mexico, I decided to make this decluttering and cleaning a sort of ritual which I do every week on Friday. I go through my whole house and tackle the worst areas first, then I move on to the not to bad areas and I scrub away.
I’m now a huge believer in cleaning and decluttering.
It Opens Up Energy Channels
Not just for your house, but for you too. When your house is a mess with stuff from your past or things you don’t really use or care about anymore, it can block your energy flow (and make you feel stuck). I never understood this concept until I experienced it first hand.
I was raised to be a packrat and to keep EVERYTHING anyone every gave me because 1, it was rude to give or get rid of a gift even if I didn’t like it and 2, I might need that thing one day for something. My house was filled with boxes and bins of stuff that I never used or even looked at for years. As I cleaned and decluttered, I felt a huge shift in energy in my home which I’d never experienced before. I enjoyed the feeling so much, I got rid of even more stuff I didn’t use or like and wooo….more energy shift and more flow. You gotta love that!
It Invites Inspiration and Creativity
When your home is clean, you’ll find inspiration and creativity show up with ease.
My office is usually the worst space for me when it comes to cleaning because in being creative, I make messes whether I am writing or painting or sewing. If there’s a mess in my office, I don’t want to work in there (blocked energy, anyone?) Sometimes I allow too much shit get piled up on my desks because I am working on a project or I get distracted and…
Now I make it a point to get in there and clean because I’ve found when I clean and organize the area, I usually get super inspired to finish projects that I wasn’t keen on working on before.
It Feels Good
Having a clean home feels good, emotionally, physically and spiritually. When you look around at your home and it’s clean and smells nice, it just feels good.
I always feel a sense of accomplishment and ease when I’ve finished cleaning. I sleep better and feel better overall as a result of a big cleaning expenditure.
Manifesting is Easier
One of the best things about cleaning and decluttering is you’ll find it’s easier to manifest what you want. Again, it’s about clearing the negative and blocking energies to allow for positive energies to flow. Like attracts like which is why this works. Sounds crazy, but it’s true. Even if you just declutter one area of your house a week, you’ll find manifesting easier.
PS I have a new book coming out soon, so if you’d like to learn about it (and maybe win a free copy) before anyone else (and maybe win a free copy) , please sign up for my mailing list below. (no spamming, I promise xoxo)
In yesterday’s blog, I mentioned being stuck. You know the feeling that your life or business isn’t moving forward, you’re just sitting around waiting or doing nothing. Maybe the feeling is one of overwhelm. You’ve got too much going on and you don’t know what to do first.
First off let me tell you that you’re not alone. So many of us get stuck from time to time. It’s perfectly normal to feel like your wearing cement boots and can’t get anywhere. When your life starts to shift around, it can happen more frequently. When I started to change myself and my life, getting stuck happened a lot and I used to get so frustrated and upset. Thankfully, I learned that….
Second of all, there is something you CAN do about it. You are not powerless. Always remember that. No matter where you are, you can always do something.
So what to do?
Here are 3 powerful things you can do when you are feeling stuck
Give Yourself a Break
Feeling stuck can be the most infuriating thing in the world. You might feel that you need to power through in a frantic frenzy of action it to get out of it. The opposite, however, is true. What you may need to do is slow down and take a break from whatever it is which is making you feel stuck.
When I write, sometimes my creative flow slows down to a trickle which makes me want to push through and force myself to write. Now what happens to me if I push through and write when I am stuck, I end up with dribble all over the page and it’s just crap. Over time, I’ve learned to sit it out and wait, sometimes an hour, sometimes a day until my creative flow returns and it always does return especially after I’ve done the next thing on this list.
Feel It Out
Feel your stuckiness and listen to your intuition. Is there an old hurt that is coming back up that you haven’t let go of? Maybe you are breaking new ground in your life and you have fear which is popping up. Sit down and let yourself feel what is going on and listen to your heart. Use your intuition to get to the core of what is slowing you down.
When I get stuck, I usually have some unfounded fear about what I am doing, be it launching something new or doing something I have never done before. When I first started writing screenplays, I got stuck a lot so I had to let myself feel the fear and then release it. EFT works great for releasing fear, but if that doesn’t work, know this…
This Too Shall Pass
Being stuck never lasts forever. It may seem like it will, but I promise, it won’t. If you have any sort of routine you do everyday, be sure to continue it through these times. Before you know it, you’ll be unstuck without having to put much effort in.
Knowing that the stuckiness will pass is so powerful. In fact, I would say that sometimes just acknowledging being stuck helps to unstick you. I can’t say definitely how this works, but it does.
Many times when I’ve been stuck, I’ve had faith that it would pass and amazingly it always has.
Easy Street! Have you heard of Easy Street? There’s a song from the musical Annie called Easy Street. It’s pretty funny, but it’s not the kind of Easy Street I am talking about.
I love a different kind of Easy Street. I do. That’s not to say that I don’t like challenges cause I like those too, but not everything has to be hard. Difficult. Insurmountable, does it?
So why am I bringing this up today. Easy Street.
Well, it’s because I was having a conversation with my mom a few days ago and she started to talk about working hard. How she and my father have worked hard their whole lives. Then she started to talk about how hard is it to have a successful business and how hard it is to make money.
Anyone else ever hear these sentiments from well-meaning family or friends?
“Making money is hard”
“Life is hard.”
“You have to sacrifice your happiness and joy to get anywhere in life”
I really have an issue with these statements because I used to agree with them. I was brought up to believe that life had to be hard and a constant struggle. I worked myself to craziness and well, it wasn’t much fun.
Me. My mindset.
I changed my mindset.
So how does that work?
Well, by changing our mindset and choosing ease over difficulty. By choosing to change those statements and forming our own new ones that reflect our change in mindset.
Life is hard, becomes Life is easy.
Making money is hard, becomes Making money is easy.
It’s such a simple shift, but it makes all the difference in the world.
When I learned this lesson, I swear that things really did become easy.
I found Easy Street.
When I needed to finish a project, it was easy and I finished it quicker than I could have imagined.
Like just this week, I was working on a proposal for a PSA. Now in the past, I would have thought “OMG, this is soooo hard. How can I finish this in less than a week? I’m not going to finish.”
I didn’t tell myself that this time though. When I started to write both the script and the proposal, I said “This is going to be a piece of cake. Writing this proposal is going to be easy and I will finish it way before the deadline.”
And guess what happened!
I did finish it, 2 days before the proposal was due (and it’s damn good if I do say so myself)!
Do YOU want to live on Easy Street?
P.S. I’m having a HUGE sale on my e-courses right now. 2-for-1! Get both awesome courses for $25.00. You don’t want to miss out because when I take them off the website, I might not re-release them.
Well, it’s time to change direction here at A Dream Created Life.
Let me tell you why.
So it’s early here and I’m looking at my website and the e-courses I wrote and have for sale right now. Now don’t get me wrong, I love this site and I’m so proud and happy with what I was working on back then like a year ago.
But that was then, this is now.
Anyway, I wrote and sold those two courses over a year ago. They’re good and I’m proud of them, but I want to change direction with the kinds of courses I want to write and share with the world.
So with that said, I’m going to offer a sell off of these jam packed really awesome courses in the next couple of weeks. Basically, you can get all of my old courses “Break the Bank” and “What Are You Worth” for one price. Think of it as a two for one special!
Two for One!
Each course is valued at $30.00 a piece, but you will be able to get BOTH courses for $25.00.
Want to learn more about the courses, head on over to their pages following the links above.
Then I’ll be pulling them off the website until maybe in the future I re-release them..or not. Who knows.
Why am I doing this?
Because I am. I have other things I want to create and share with the world. Other better and more improved courses. I loved those courses, but I have others in my head that I’d like to write and share.
Now, with that being said, to get the special one time only sale price on these fabulous courses, please sign up below for my mailing list cause that’s where I’m going to announce the sale.
Well, we did it, folks! One more year around the sun and we’re all still here! Happy New Year!! Woo hoo! Give yourself a pat on the back and get ready for another whirlwind of a ride! 2017 is going to be awesome! Hell, it already is!
Now earlier this morning I got out a brand new journal that I’ve been saving for some reason and started my master list of dreams and desires. Yep, it’s a new year, time for a new journal and a new list.
New Year, New Journal
A few years ago, I started to write down what I want everyday and amazingly, most of the things I’ve been putting down in these journals have been coming true. Yea, it’s a pretty cool thing when you start to manifest what you want. I love that about the Law of Attraction!
Anywho…..what is on my master list for 2017. What do I want to do? Who do I want to become? What do I want to have? Pretty much everything I want goes into that journal. Everyday. Sometimes the list changes a bit, but it’s always there. It’s one of the things I do in my Law of Attraction practice.
So What Do I Want in 2017?
Sell a full length feature screenplay
Write, direct and produce at least 3 short films
Get said films into at least 3 film festivals
Get hired to write for a TV show as a staff writer
Be healthier (and back to my fighting weight)

Laugh everyday and make others laugh as well

Fly first class
Pay off all debts

So there you have it. 20 of the things I want to do, be and have in 2017. I am excited and happy to check off as many of them as I can! Woo hoo! It’s going to be fun for sure!
So what do you want in the new year? What’s on your list?
Since the beginning of the year, I’ve been on a mission. A mission to create, write, try new things, do more and be more me.
This journey, my journey, is no longer directed by others, but is being lead by my heart. My soul is on fire to share who I am, what I’ve learned and what I know about life, love, humor and all kinds of other wonderful things I’ve picked up along the travels of my life.
I will not hide who I am any longer behind the ‘shoulds, coulds and must do’ bullshit.
My sunshiny blinders are on and I’m back to creating and writing in a way that makes me feel good and happy and joyful. Everyday…every single freaking day!
How did I ever get to such a place?
I don’t know, but I am glad to be here.
Listen to your heart.
Let it do the driving for awhile!
So how do you even begin to do that?
For years, I wondered that myself. Listen to your heart and let it lead you.
I guess it begins by turning inward a bit and tuning out the cacophony of voices surrounding you. You start by listening first to the whispers of your soul that remind you of who you really are before the world around you herded you into what they thought you should be. You get quiet, and you listen…..
You remember all of the dreams you had as a kid. You know the ones. The ones that you openly shared with anyone who would listen back then.
Everyone believed you and encouraged you to dream back then because it was totally reasonable for a 5 year old to want to be the president, a movie star and an astronaut, ruling the country from outer space whilst making movies at the same time.
At some point, the encouragement stopped and your dreams, suddenly they were ‘unreasonable’, ‘crazy’ or ‘wild’. You were told to grow up and do something reasonable and safe with your life.
You stopped listening to your heart and began to listen to all of the peole around you who told you what you ‘should’ be doing because you had an aptitude for something. You quit trusting yourself and did what they said to do because they promised a life of comfort, safety and financial stability.
But you were never satisfied with that. You looked out the window while at work and wondered “Is this it? Is this my life? Am I always going to be in the office, hospital, laboratory for the rest of my life?” and it made you want to cry and run away.
Maybe it didn’t happen all at once, but eventually and slowly you started to remember all of the dreams you had as a kid. You became quiet and you listened and your heart opened up and reminded you of who you were before the world told you what you needed to be.
As you listened, you started to dream again and believe that there was more to living a life of obligation and expectation. You trusted yourself more and began to shed the chains of the prison you created for yourself by doing what they told you to do because it was ‘safe’.
Eventually after some time of listening, you decided to truly break free because the pain of the role that you took because others told you to became too much to bear and you couldn’t live one more day doing things that you did not like or enjoy.
You drew a line in the sand….
You listened to your heart and let it guide you on your new journey, taking on a new part of your own creation, filled with joy and happiness and heaps of laughter.
The life that you used to have no longer exists for you now.
You’ve become soul driven with a purpose. An awesome fabulous purpose!
And you will not quit or give up on your dreams anymore.
Or try to be someone or something you aren’t.
Those days are long gone
Because you listen to your heart now.
It does the driving.
