Free Book Week!

Free Book Week is Here!

I’m so flipping excited right now. My publisher and I just re-released my book “Break the Bank” and in celebration of it, I’m offering it free over on Amazon for a limited time only!

Woo hoo hoo!

So why should you read it?

Well because it’ll help you get free from some of those shit money beliefs you might have like

“Money is evil”

“Rich people are born lucky”

Etc…..

Maybe you cringe when you have to deal with money or pay bills.

Yeah…I so know the feeling which is why I wrote this book.  I used to cringe when I had to look at my bank account.  Paying bills used to feel like torture. Pretty much anything to do with money used to make my butt twitch in the worst way…

But then I learned  a few things and decided they were so valuable, I put them in a book.

You can break free from your limiting money beliefs!

You can love money no matter how much money you have right now.

Anyway…..I’m not going to super pitch it here cause over on Amazon there’s a pretty lengthy description. (Feel free to check it out, there’s even a free sample to read if you’re unsure!)

BUT I did want to make this little announcement here today.

Break the Bank is free on Amazon!

All you gotta do is head on over to Amazon and hit the buy button and it’s all yours.

Yay!!

How to Handle Your Runaway Emotions

Have you ever had your emotions runaway from you?  One day, everything is fine and you’re feeling great and then boom!  Suddenly its like WTF just happened? Now I feel ….ugh….

Seriously, WTF just happened?

Here’s the deal: When something upsets us and if you’re like me and you’ve been practicing the Law of Attraction, it’s very easy to want to try to shove or banish those types of emotions away. You can’t though and let me explain why.

So the past few weeks have been a gentle reminder for me to feel all my emotions. Usually I feel good about everything in my life and I run around in a state of joy and happiness no matter what the situation.

Last week was not the case. My boyfriend and I found ourselves in a situation which was completely out of our control. See, normally money just magically appears in his bank account at the end of his pay period. It’s been like that for months and well, that’s what happens.

Well he switched jobs and the new one didn’t offer direct deposit, but rather a pay card where his money would be on payday. Now we didn’t think anything about this at all at the time because we assumed (don’t make assumptions) it would be easy for him to transfer the funds to his bank account on payday.

Boy were we wrong. Turns out transferring money or even getting the money off the card ended up being a veritable nightmare. I won’t go into details here, but it was bad.  Really terrible.

Some things are out of our control

Now, during this whole event, I started to feel really angry not just at the company who was holding his money hostage, but the company he works for.  One day last week I was so nauseous that I couldn’t even eat. Another day I had a migraine.

I sometimes have a really hard time expressing how I feel when I’m angry or upset. I don’t like to bring down anyone by sharing these emotions with anyone. As a result of holding back,  I was starting to manifest physical symptoms that were bringing me to my knees.

It wasn’t until earlier this week I realized what was going on and decided to do something about it.

So here’s the deal when you have low vibrating emotions such as anger, fear, and frustration,(aka the runaways.)

How to Handle Your Runaway Emotions

Feel Them!

Shake your fists, cry, or talk to someone such as a friend.  Don’t stuff them away and try to be happy when you’re clearly not!

Express them!

Find a way to express your emotions in a way which isn’t destructive or harmful to yourself or others. Write them down or write a letter to the thing that’s really upset you.  Sometimes I  sit down and write out everything that’s pissed me off about the situation or I write a letter to it. Then I burn the letter.

Meditate

Yeah, the less woo-woo guru is advocating meditation, but it’s not what you think. If you can take one minute during any sort of emotional episode and reconnect with yourself by just sitting down, closing you eyes and breathing deeply for about a minute, you’ll amazingly feel better.

Know That They Will Pass.

Our feelings are like the tide in a constant state of ebb and flow. Be patient and let them do just that, flow through you like a river. I always find this concept very comforting to me .

Find Five Good Things

Look around in your environment or life and find five good things, right now no matter what you are feeling. If you can do that, you’ll instantly raise your vibration and possibly feel better.

Note:

Of all the things on the list, finding five good things is my fave. I love it so much that I’ve written an upcoming book about it because it has single-handedly changed my life so much.  If you’d like to learn more about the book and get a free copy when it comes out, SIGN UP BELOW for my mailing list.

3 Reasons Why I Love Monday

In my last post, I talked about why I love Friday. As a follow up to that, I thought this post was appropriate. 3 reasons why I love Monday.

It’s the start of the week and I’m sitting here in my office with sparkles in my eyes.  Yeah, corny I know, but absolutely true. Monday is one of my favorite days of the week because the possibilities are endless for the week. I work from home and after the weekend has ended, Monday signals the beginning of my work week and as a result, I end up working more on Monday than I do any other day of the week.

Here’s why I love Monday (and why you should too)

Monday is #1

Not in the sense that it won a race and came in first, but it is the first day of the new week.  Think about it as a new beginning cause it is. Businesses reopen. Everyone is rested from the weekend. It’s #1! I love Monday because I always get so much done after slacking around all weekend and having fun.

It’s a great time to start projects

If you’ve spent your weekend partying or resting, Monday is the day to begin a new project. I usually start scripts or chapters of books on Monday because it’s when I’m the most rested and usually raring to go. The first day of the week is my powerhouse day for writing so I take advantage of it whenever I can.

It’s a great day to look forward

Not only is it a great day to start a project, it’s a great day to make plans for your week or month or whatever. The start of the week is when I chart out my week of writing and other work related duties.  I sometimes like to figure out what I’m going to do for the weekend too. Planning usually takes up a good chunk of my time on Monday and I look forward to it every week. I make plans to write, work out and do what I need to do to keep my life and business in order.

So that’s why I love Monday.

PS I’m in the process of writing a new book, one that when it’s finished, I’ll be giving away a few copies. Also, I have free gifts here on my site. If you sign up below, you can get free stuff and maybe even win a copy of my book when it comes out. All you gotta do is sign up below. Yes, it’s a mailing list, but I promise not to spam you 🙂  xoxo

4 Reasons Why I Love Friday

4 Reasons Why I Love Friday

Today’s Friday. I love Friday’s, but not for the traditional reason you might expect. The majority of people love Friday is because it’s the last day of the week, signaling 2 days off if you work a  regular 9-5 job. Friday for me is a sort of special day, but not for the aforementioned reason.

See, on Friday, I take the day off from my usually scheduled writing and I clean my entire house.

Now I didn’t always clean like I do now. Oh no..in fact, I used to detest cleaning and part of me always will because of the traditional female role as the house keeper (who came up with that silly idea is beyond me, but anyway).  Seriously, I only would clean when I absolutely had to like when my mom or dad was coming over.

At some point in my Law of Attraction studies, I read that having a clear decluttered home actually changes the energy and allows a better flow of positive energy. I didn’t believe that for one minute at the time and as a result, my house stayed a mess.

That was until I had to move 2 years ago. I decided at that point to give decluttering a try since I had too much stuff and I was on a budget for the move.  3500 lbs was all I was allowed to pack so day-by-day, I went through everything in my house and got rid of anything that didn’t serve me or I didn’t love. I wrote about it here in The Great Decluttering of 2015.

Once I moved back to New Mexico, I decided to make this decluttering and cleaning a sort of ritual which I do every week on Friday. I go through my whole house and tackle the worst areas first, then I move on to the not to bad areas and I scrub away.

I’m now a huge believer in cleaning and decluttering.

Why?

It Opens Up Energy Channels

Not just for your house, but for you too.  When your house is a mess with stuff from your past or things you don’t really use or care about anymore, it can block your energy flow (and make you feel stuck).  I never understood this concept until I experienced it first hand.

I was raised to be a packrat and to keep EVERYTHING anyone every gave me because 1, it was rude to give or get rid of a gift even if I didn’t like it and 2, I might need that thing one day for something. My house was filled with boxes and bins of stuff that I never used or even looked at for years. As I cleaned and decluttered, I felt a huge shift in energy in my home which I’d never experienced before.  I enjoyed the feeling so much, I got rid of even more stuff I didn’t use or like and wooo….more energy shift and more flow. You gotta love that!

It Invites Inspiration and Creativity

When your home is clean, you’ll find inspiration and creativity show up with ease.

My office is usually the worst space for me when it comes to cleaning because in being creative, I make messes whether I am writing or painting or sewing.  If there’s a mess in my office, I don’t want to work in there (blocked energy, anyone?) Sometimes I allow too much shit get piled up on my desks because I am working on a project or I get distracted and…

Now I make it a point to get in there and clean because I’ve found when I clean and organize the area, I usually get super inspired to finish projects that I wasn’t keen on working on before.

It Feels Good

Having a clean home feels good, emotionally, physically and spiritually. When you look around at your home and it’s clean and smells nice, it just feels good.

I always feel a sense of accomplishment and ease when I’ve finished cleaning. I sleep better and feel better overall as a result of a big cleaning expenditure.

Manifesting is Easier

One of the best things about cleaning and decluttering is you’ll find it’s easier to manifest what you want. Again, it’s about clearing the negative and blocking energies to allow for positive energies to flow. Like attracts like which is why this works.  Sounds crazy, but it’s true.  Even if you just declutter one area of your house a week, you’ll find manifesting easier.

3 Things to Do When You’re Feeling Stuck

Are You Feeling Stuck?

In yesterday’s blog, I mentioned being stuck. You know the feeling that your life or business isn’t moving forward, you’re just sitting around waiting or doing nothing. Maybe the feeling is one of overwhelm. You’ve got too much going on and you don’t know what to do first.

First off let me tell you that you’re not alone. So many of us get stuck from time to time. It’s perfectly normal to feel like your wearing cement boots and can’t get anywhere. When your life starts to shift around, it can happen more frequently. When I started to change myself and my life, getting stuck happened a lot and I used to get so frustrated and upset. Thankfully, I learned that….

Second of all, there is something you CAN do about it. You are not powerless. Always remember that. No matter where you are, you can always do something.

So what to do?

Here are 3 powerful things you can do when you are feeling stuck

Give Yourself a Break

Feeling stuck can be the most infuriating thing in the world. You might feel that you need to power through in a frantic frenzy of action it to get out of it. The opposite, however, is true. What you may need to do is slow down and take a break from whatever it is which is making you feel stuck.

When I write, sometimes my creative flow slows down to a trickle which makes me want to push through and force myself to write. Now what happens to me if I push through and write when I am stuck, I end up with dribble all over the page and it’s just crap. Over time, I’ve learned to sit it out and wait, sometimes an hour, sometimes a day until my creative flow returns and it always does return especially after I’ve done the next thing on this list.

Feel It Out

Feel your stuckiness and listen to your intuition. Is there an old hurt that is coming back up that you haven’t let go of? Maybe you are breaking new ground in your life and you have fear which is popping up. Sit down and let yourself feel what is going on and listen to your heart. Use your intuition to get to the core of what is slowing you down.

When I get stuck, I usually have some unfounded fear about what I am doing, be it launching something new or doing something I have never done before. When I first started writing screenplays, I got stuck a lot so I had to let myself feel the fear and then release it. EFT works great for releasing fear, but if that doesn’t work, know this…

This Too Shall Pass

Being stuck never lasts forever. It may seem like it will, but I promise, it won’t.  If you have any sort of routine you do everyday, be sure to continue it through these times. Before you know it, you’ll be unstuck without having to put much effort in.

Knowing that the stuckiness will pass is so powerful. In fact, I would say that sometimes just acknowledging being stuck helps to unstick you. I can’t say definitely how this works, but it does.

Many times when I’ve been stuck, I’ve had faith that it would pass and amazingly it always has.

xoxo

5 Things I Learned Being on the Road

5 Things I Learned Being on the Road

Life has unexpected turns now again like I mentioned in my last post, Life is a Rollercoaster and the last few months for me have been no exception. For most of April, I have been on the road with my beloved in a big truck which would explain why I haven’t written much here, but I have been working. I’m always working no matter where I am.

Anyway, the days on the road are long and filled with ever changing scenery. We spend 10-11 hours on the road every day, traveling from one place to another, taking stuff where it needs to go. We’ve hauled so many different types of freight, it’s been a challenge to keep track of it all. Overall, being in the truck has been somewhat of a dream come true for me. I love to travel and I’ve gotten to live in a big truck and spend 24 hours a day less than 10 feet from my love. I’ve learned a few things as well.

1. Get Enough Sleep

Sleep is so important not just for our bodies, but our minds too and when you are on the road, traveling hundreds of miles everyday, it’s even more important because the days can be super long.

On the first trip, I was getting up at my normal time and going to bed much later than I am used to at home.  As a result of not listening to my body, I ended up being exhausted (and quite crabby) toward the end of the trip. On this last run, I decided to change things up a bit and let myself rest when I needed meaning, if I felt tired, I crawled into the back and took a nap or just rested on the bunk.  I felt so much better and wasn’t as exhausted as I had been on previous trips.

2. Eat Well

Eating on the road has it’s challenges because there aren’t many options that don’t involved fast food or convenience store truck-stop food. Now while eating that stuff is ok on occasion, it’s gets real boring after a few days. (How many ways can you prepare a cheese burger?)  That’s not to say that you can’t find or bring options with you.

On the last trip, I decided to bring quite a bit of fruit with me to munch on instead of the standard snack foods which are super convenient in the truck.

3. Do Something You Love Everyday

Even though the days can be long, you can still do something you love everyday no matter where you are.  Maybe you like video games or reading. It really doesn’t matter what it is you do, but it has to be something you love and helps you relax.

I like to read when we’re out on the road because not only does it help me wind down after bouncing around in the truck all day, but I learn something new every time I pick up a book. Renee likes to play video games to relax.

4. Stay Connected

Just because you are miles away from the people you care about doesn’t mean you can’t stay connected.  Social media is a great way to stay in contact with the people you care about.  You can also use your phone and either text or call your friends and family.

On these last few trips, I stayed in contact with my family and friends through text messages.  My mom loves to see pictures of scenery so I’d send a few to her everyday.

5. The Law of Attraction is Always Working

No matter where you are, the Law of Attraction is still always working for you all day every day.  No matter where you are, you are always attracting things into your life so stay mindful.  Practice your meditation or intentions or whatever you do for your daily practice.

I got sort of slack with my Law of Attraction practice when we were on the road and as a result, I started feeling really stuck again. Now I’m home and I’m getting back into my practice and it feels so good. I’m also finishing up another book which I’m hoping to get released in July.

At some point, I’ll be back on the road with Renee again. We’ve had a bit of a shake up over here as far as his work goes, but it’s all good.

xoxo

PS I’m going to be giving away a few books in the upcoming months as well as a few other freebies.  Sign up below to get all the deets on these happenings 🙂 (I promise no spam!  xoxo)

Yes, Life IS like a Roller Coaster

Have you ever been on a roller coaster?  I bet you have. So have I and I gotta say this using a very over used cliche’ …..

Life is like a roller coaster.

Sometimes you gotta wait and be patient just like that big hill at the beginning of the roller coaster. You know the one. The whole car clicks it’s way up, up, up and you’re just waiting for it to stop cause you know you’re going to be hurled down the hill into who knows what. Maybe the car drops 30 feet only to rise up again on another hill.  Sometimes the car lurches from side-to-side in tight turns that jerk your whole body to and fro.  The car could also go in a loop-de-loop and the horizon turns upside down  and you get to see the world from an all wonky new perspective.

You can’t really know what you’re going to experience until you step into that car and strap yourself in.

What you do know though is that you’re going to have fun. You aren’t in control and you may not know what is going to happen next, but it’s ok. .

And that’s what life feels like sometimes.

Since moving back to Albuquerque and many other times in my life, there have been ups and downs and twists and turns along the way which I never would have imagined. I love my life and am grateful for all the crazy stuff I have experienced along the way. I’m glad my life is like a roller coaster.

So here’s the deal: We don’t know what our lives are going to bring.  We can plan, but really, we can’t know for certain.

For example, recently, I’ve been planning on going on the road with R. in the truck for an adventure. I’ve been looking so forward to this, packing and planning and getting myself all ready to go. I even bought these crazy funnel things that…..  ha ha…(I’ll share that story on my other blog Adventures of a Curly Girl)

Anyway, a couple of days ago, one of my cats started to act funny.  Not bad funny, but not like himself which has me concerned.  I’ve been keeping an eye on him and so far, so good, but if he’s not totally back to his usual awesome cat self by the time R. leaves, then I will stay home with him until he recuperates.

And there it is…just like a roller coaster with an unexpected turn. I may not be getting on the road with R. as soon as I had hoped. It’s ok though.

Life IS a roller coaster.

Might as well enjoy the ride!

XOXO

Choices and Alignment

Choices and Alignment

Recently, I had to make a choice:  walk away from something that wasn’t aligned with me or stay and try to make the best of it even though I felt terrible.  I waffled back and forth because I didn’t want to hurt anyone (including myself) and making that decision wasn’t pleasant, but I had to because the thing wasn’t in alignment with who I am, my life and my goals.

Leading up to my decision, I had felt that I needed to stay and help and push the thing into alignment. What a crazy thing to do, right?

I don’t know much, but I know this:

You cannot force the Universe

Or situations

Or people

Into alignment.

And I tried. I really did try.

I had been staying  and pushing even though my intuition was screaming at me to run away because I was feeling worse and worse everyday. (and I do not like feeling bad)

SO I made the choice and well, now I’m dealing with the consequences of that choice.

And while I do feel better today because it’s all said and done now, there is part of me that feels bad because I unintentionally hurt someone and for that I am sorry.

Now what does this have to do with the Law of Attraction?

Vibrations and Alignment

Since I started to study the Law of Attraction, I’ve gotten really good at feeling my vibration and the vibrations of the people around me. Being an empath also helps with this and with a bit of practice, my sensitivity to these vibrations has gotten really fine tuned so when I am around people or situations that are not at the same frequency that I vibrate at, I feel it with every ounce of my being.

Now, I realize I can’t change the vibrations of other people or situations.  I try to deal with them as they are as best I can.  I offer help and well, in this situation, I tried to do the best I could to help raise the vibration.

It was no use though so I had to make a choice: Stay or Leave.

After months of banging my head against the wall, feeling totally miserable, I realized that I couldn’t stay because I know deep down I can only handle so much negative vibration from others.  As an empath, I feel what other people feel even when I don’t want to.  It’s a great thing and a shitty thing all at the same time.

So my questions for you are do you stay in a situation that feels vibrationally  bad or wrong? Or do you walk away?  Do you try to fix the situation or person who isn’t vibrating at the same frequency as you?  Or do you remove yourself from the situation?

I have to say that making that choice, while it was hard, was the best thing for me to do for me right now. I feel more aligned with the Universe again.

So in sum, it’s all about choice.  What you choose. Do you listen to your intuition or ignore it?

Who do you choose to surround yourself with and how do you feel when you are around them?

What situations do you choose to be in and how do you feel when you are in them?

It’s all about choices and alignment.

xoxo

Beer and The Law of Attraction

What does beer have to do with the Law of Attraction? Let me tell you a little story. Recently my boyfriend went back out driving a big ass semi-truck and since he started his latest job, he never knows what he’s going to be hauling.  For the past few weeks since he started the job, we’ve been joking about what he could be potentially carrying in his trailer and it’s always such a thrill and a surprise when we find out. Like could it be toilet paper? Canned soup?  Onions?

We never know and that’s half the fun of this little game we play.

Now we both love the old Smokey and the Bandit movies cause well, we grew up back in the 70’s  and we both have fond memories of them. Of course, given that Renee is a truck driver, hauling beer would be like the ultimate throw back and it would give us a chance to sing “East Bound and Down” to our hearts content. (It’s my favorite song to sing when he’s on the road)

So what in the hell does any of this have to do with

The Law of Attraction?

Well, for the past month or so since he accepted this job, we’ve been joking and talking about him hauling beer.

Yes, beer.

I love beer so I used to say to him, “Hey, wouldn’t it be soo cool if you got to haul some beer!”

He’d always laugh and say, “Hell yes. Hauling beer would be awesome!”

So as the past month rolled by, we both  kept thinking and talking about him getting to chauffeur some kegs or maybe a case or too around. We’d laugh and giggle about it, dreaming about a huge 53ft trailer full of beer. (Can you imagine it?  I can and it makes me happy just thinking about it!)

The point here is that the idea (and my dream) of his truck being full to the max of cases of beer was on our minds and well, it was something we both ‘wanted’ and thought would be super cool if it manifested.

And then it happened.

He ended up hauling beer!

Just this week, his trailer was full of 2100 cases of beer!  Do you have any idea how much beer that is? It’s like 44,000 lbs or…..50,000 bottles!!  Holy fuck…that is more beer than…. Oh, my heart, it fills with joy to imagine it!

Sorry about that. Let me get back on point here since I was knee deep in a crazy fizzy alcohol fueled fantasy….

Now I believe what happened with the beer and my boyfriend illustrates so perfectly how when we are playful and happy, in a good state of mind and vibrating at a high frequency, the Universe responds to us more easily and readily than it does when we are vibrating at a lower frequency.

See, Renee and I were not worrying about how the beer might get loaded onto his truck. We weren’t wishing it would happen, lamenting that he might not get to haul some happy adult beverages or saying stuff like, “OMG, you have to haul beer and always have it in the trailer!!!  If you don’t haul some brews, our lives will be miserable and suck.”

We were just laughing and giggling about it, totally happy and voila!

He gets to haul beer.

The takeaway here is what you say, what you think and how you are feeling ALL has an influence on The Law of Attraction and what you manifest into your life.

When you sit down with your big list of dreams, wants, wishes and desires, do you feel happy or sad?  Is there a sense of lack or a sense of abundance?  Do you have fun with manifesting or does it just seem impossible?

I can’t answer these questions for you. Only you can.

So…have fun dreaming your dreams. Giggle and laugh your way through manifesting everything you want. Don’t worry about the how or the why.  Know that the thing you want is on it’s way.

The Universe loves you.

Have You Found Easy Street?

Easy Street!  Have you heard of Easy Street?  There’s a song from the musical Annie called Easy Street. It’s pretty funny, but it’s not the kind of Easy Street I am talking about.

I love a different kind of Easy Street.  I do. That’s not to say that I don’t like challenges cause I like those too, but not everything has to be hard. Difficult. Insurmountable, does it?

So why am I bringing this up today.  Easy Street.

Well, it’s because I was having a conversation with my mom a few days ago and she started to talk about working hard. How she and my father have worked hard their whole lives. Then she started to talk about how hard is it to have a successful business and how hard it is to make money.

Anyone else ever hear these sentiments from well-meaning family or friends?

“Making money is hard”

“Life is hard.”

“You have to sacrifice your happiness and joy to get anywhere in life”

I really have an issue with these statements because I used to agree with them. I was brought up to believe that life had to be hard and a constant struggle. I worked myself to craziness and well, it wasn’t much fun.

What changed?

Me. My mindset.

I changed my mindset.

So how does that work?

Well, by changing our mindset and choosing ease over difficulty. By choosing to change those statements and forming our own new ones that reflect our change in mindset.

For example

Life is hard, becomes Life is easy.

Making money is hard, becomes Making money is easy.

It’s such a simple shift, but it makes all the difference in the world.

When I learned this lesson, I swear that things really did become easy.

I found Easy Street.

When I needed to finish a project, it was easy and I finished it quicker than I could have imagined.

Like just this week, I was working on a proposal for a PSA. Now in the past, I would have thought “OMG, this is soooo hard. How can I finish this in less than a week? I’m not going to finish.”

I didn’t tell myself that this time though. When I started to write both the script and the proposal, I said “This is going to be a piece of cake. Writing this proposal is going to be easy and I will finish it way before the deadline.”

And guess what happened!

I did finish it, 2 days before the proposal was due (and it’s damn good if I do say so myself)!

Do YOU want to live on Easy Street?
